Trump taking the side of India is actually a good move. Pakistan was a poor ally for us, giving aid and comfort to Osama and Co. and is clearly cozying up to China as a far more potent counterweight against India than we ever could be. Also, Pakistanis hate us, Indians not so much, and India is a stronger country which has interests in containing Chinese power.
