I've seen this mentioned before but always took it as a joke. Until now.

Turns out Kasich has been working on a bipartisan healthcare plan with Gov. Hickenlooper of Colorado. They hope to present it to the Senate as soon as next week. Of course, this could just mean both men are trying to shore up bipartisan cred.

Seems very unlikely, but I a lot can change between now and 2020.

Best case scenario for them imo is 15% of the vote and winning Ohio and Colorado

I think Kasich would win Ohio as a third party, but I don't see Colorado going for him just because Hickenlooper is his running mate.

Okay...just because you propose legislation on a bipartisan basis with someone doesn't mean you will pick that someone as your running mate, or McCain would've said screw it, and picked Joe Lieberman in 2008.

On the one hand, yes. On the other hand, no. And McCain was very close to picking Lieberman.

Just another way for Democrats to lose votes.

Just another way for Democrats to lose votes.

This plus i thought Democrats were better than Republicans and now they are planning to run together? Looks like it really doesnt matter who you vote for in this corrupt political system.

Personally, I would never support this ticket, but your #analayis is buffoonish.

At this time, Republicans are more unpopular than Democrats. Thus, this ticket, if it were to run while Republicans are unpopular, would have an effect similar to that of Ross Perot's 1992 run.

If this actually happens, which I think is very unlikely, then I'd say the ticket could probably do about as well as Ross Perot in 1992, but only if the Democratic nominee isn't very popular or is far-left.

I'd vote for them, but I think they'd only gain steam if the Dems nominated a genuinely far-left candidate.
