HOUSE OF COMMONS

of the Commonwealth of Fremont

Oyez! Oyez! Oyez! This House will now come to order!

Gentlemen and Ladies — it is, as your prime minister, my high privilege and distinct honor to convene this fourth session of the House of Commons. Members may use this thread to introduce legislation onto the queue of the Commons, as may citizens of the Commonwealth per Article I, Section 5 of the Constitution. General motions regarding the standing of the government or matters concerning the whole House as an institution may likewise be presented here.

I would direct the duly elected Members to take the oath of office at the earliest convenience, that we may at once begin the pressing and noble work before us.

Lex populusque patriae reget!

Prime Minister

I nominate Kamala for Speaker.

Would it be appropriate to expand the censure to include comments made on other boards before Cora's election?

The period for nominations has expired; if Kamala wishes to accept the nomination, we will declare her elected without opposition; otherwise, I can assume presidency of the Commons in the interim until we have a willing speaker.

I accept the nomination for speaker.
Excellent!

In that case, I declare Kamala to have been elected Speaker of the House of Commons by acclamation, and without opposition.

I assume "approve" is implied when legislation is forwarded to the Prime Minister.

You're right. There are still other rules that restrict productivity, and I'll rewrite this to address those later.

Here. It's at the top of the queue currently, so it will come to the floor as soon as one of the three slots opens up.
