I'm glad we have a great polling organization like Zogby doing extremely useful polls in swing states like West Virginia 3 years before an election.

In "fairness" regarding the state selection, it's pretty much exactly a list of competitive Senate races in 2018, so presumably he was primarily polling about the Senate and just asked this for fun.

Point remains that Zogby is America's Worst Pollster and has zero credibility.

There's no way Trump is at even approvals in WV.

No way that this is accurate. I'm pretty sure that Zogby had Clinton leading in Kansas at one point.

B-b-b-but Wulfric told me Trump would beat Warren by 15%!!!!!!

Anyway, this is obviously junk, and those WV numbers are particularly hilarious.

If Trump's approval rating in WV is really 48/48 only 8 months into office then he should probably just resign right now.

Progressives do well in red states, shocker.

I think economic progressivism has an appeal in many rural states, especially ones that are ancestrally Democratic. I think it's the long-term future of the party. That said, it's obviously a junk poll. No way Warren is doing better in Missouri than in Ohio. This ignores the fact that I don't think any Democratic candidate short of Jesus himself can get margins in deep red states that low in reality. If Missouri, Kentucky, West Virginia, whatever, is going to start voting Democratic again, it's not going to be in one election, but over several.

Although Zogby certain has a well deserved Reputation as a "junk polling" outfit, their results seem to mirror data from more reputable sources regarding a collapse of Trump support in the Upper-Midwest in particular (MI & WI).

Also, PA would appear to generally also follow similar trend lines....

Among the other states, it gets trickier, since FL is always a horrible state to poll, OH is generally a bit harder than many other states since there are so many distinct Metro areas and regions within the State, MO results seem a bit sketch, etc....

Still, one should/would imagine that most of the dramatic swings *against* Trump would be occurring precisely in places where Obama did quite well in '08 and/or '12.

MT/WV certainly stand out as outliers here, but honestly would not be totally surprised to see massive swings here in Net Fav/UnFavs, although the topline numbers are sketchy.

For all of the critique of the "lack of Hope and Change" under the Obama era in many WWC parts of our great nation, many traditional swing voters that have shifted back and forth between both Dems and Reps at the Pres level over the past few decades, appear to be swing hard back....

Where is the hope and change that Trump promised that will revitalize the economy and "Make America Great Again"?

We sure as hell aren't seeing it yet in places in Oregon like Albany, Sweet Home, Coos Bay, let alone much smaller Timber dependent communities....

As I have stated multiple times on other threads, Trump should have led with a massive infrastructure program right off the bat.... Problem is that he didn't want to take on the House and Sen 'Pubs right out the gate, in which arguably might have been his best way to promote the "Trump Brand" on bread and butter economic issues where there would have been tons of prevailing wage jobs to be had in every corner of America, to address a fundamental issue where both parties have punted the Football for decades, and the 'Pubs basically closed down completely right after Obama was elected.

Sure--- Zogby is a junk poll, but still a data-point that reinforces much other data out there, included a compilation of Trump approve/disapprove polling from multiple data sources....

If Warren is trailing by only 3 points in WV, then Bernie has a real shot there.

Zogby obviously has a bad record, but some of the numbers seem consistent with other pollsters. The approval ratings in FL, IN, PA, and WI look like they're about the same as Gallup.
