I definitely played RuneScape more , and enjoyed it more too.

I remember back in the summer beteeen 5th and 6th grade , my parents dropped me at my family friends house before lunch , brought my video game controllers as well to his house , but all we did the entire day (I wasnt picked up until after dinner) was play RuneScape.

Even at parties ,most of the kids at party would play runescape .

Minecraft-several hundreds of hours played, me and 4 of my family members got it when it was still early in Beta.  I've beaten the game (well, killed that weird dragon at the end) single player and with others.  It's boring to me now, but it one of the more important video games ever...historically speaking, IMHO

RuneScape-I had to Google to find out what it was exactly...I mean, I had heard the name before, but only had the foggiest of ideas as to what it was.

That was only like for one year it happened .

Sad life lol , I used to play outside for like 4-6 hours a day during the summers of my 3rd-5th grade.

Anyway most of the parties we had (which were basically my parents calling family friends over )were at night ,so we weren't allowed to go outside, and many of my friends didn't like board games so we played video games or runescape at parties

Minecraft was YUGE back in undergrad, and despite the DOOM graphics, I can see why.

Haven't heard of Runescape in almost 15 years, knew one guy that played it.
