Looks like he's running.

Well he's been telegraphing his intentions quite clearly recently with his events in the Midwest, Appalachia, spending all of Labor Day in New Hampshire and his big health care bill unveiling event that's coming up.

I just wish he'd spend more time in the South.

As most people have said Brown higher than Warren is pretty strange. I am not sure Murphy should be that high either.

In what world is Bernie Sanders better than Joe Biden?
Get out of your bubble mate. Bernie Sanders is more popular than Joe Biden.

A few thoughts -

I honestly have some hope for Chris Murphy. I think he'd be an interesting candidate, but have some issues becoming a household name, being from Connecticut and all. He could appeal to some who were alienated by Hillary and Trump.

I think Jerry Brown would be obliterated by Trump/Pence. Nothing more.

As a New Yorker myself, Cuomo would be a horrible nomination for the Democrats. Not only would he take up space in an already probably crowded field of candidates, but he'd be another disciple of the Clinton Democrats. At least fellow New York politician Kirsten Gillibrand has a tolerable mask of a progressive.

Celebrity nominee - No thank you.

Deval Patrick has an interesting Obama appeal to him, but I think he'd have a hard time coming out of the shadow of Castro, Booker, and Harris.

Tim Kaine, like Jerry Brown, would be absolutely crushed by Trump/Pence.

Lastly, Eric Garcetti - Who I think could be a good candidate, but like Murphy; suffers from not having household name familiarity. And considering it's late 2017 and he's just starting to get his name out there, I think it's too little too late.

In what world is Bernie Sanders better than Joe Biden?
In a world where the left wing rules the party
That's the same world where my state becomes a swing state directly because of that Tongue

#3 is pretty high for Chris Murphy, but glad to see a list finally talking about him. I think he has a better chance of winning than Cory Booker.

Murphy is life.

At least he's from a state that actually matters. Jeff Merkely brings nothing to the table with Oregon.
I always kinda liked Tim Kaine. I think it might be because I'm Catholic. His stance on abortion really resonated with me. I know he was boring but I thought he was alright.

I think the moderate Blue Dog populists who like Schweitzer, Edwards, and Bullock have to make it clear whether they prefer the pro-gun, non-interventionist, pro-labor, fair trade progressive base, or the more moderate establishment.

Schweitzer is not a blue Dog, he is pretty progressive on multiple areas. He is massively anti-war, opposed Iraq, opposed the Patriot Act & Schweitzer is a strong supporter of a Single Payer. He was the Single payer candidate before Bernie was it, in a way.

His views on education & in many areas are very progressive.

At least he's from a state that actually matters. Jeff Merkely brings nothing to the table with Oregon.

That in general is a meaningless argument. You need to win multiple swing states to win it. And Virginia is not a swing state anymore. It is literally impossible for any Democrat to lose it vs Trump in 2020.

And just being from that state, doesn't mean you put it out of play. Trump is from NY & lost in the GE. Rubio got destroyed by Trump in Florida. Will Michelle Bachmann win MI? There is nothing to say that Tim Kaine has any gigantic appeal in swing states. That has nothing to with Jeff Merkley either. No-one knows what Merkley will do or how good he is.

Likely better than Tim Kaine who has no appeal or charisma but may not be good enough overall. Who knows !

When the Cruz vs Sanders debate took place, the vast majority said it was a stalemate. Democrats on the whole said Sanders was better, GOP said Cruz won. No-one said it was a blowout win for anyone.

Sanders had some fantastic moments in the debate & Cruz was very good in BS, fake stats & anecdotal evidence to counter 1 payer. It is very sad to see the huge flip-flop. Every Sanders hater is revising history to make it seem like Cruz destroyed Bernie. And that is a total LIE.

Cruz in general, is a very good debater. Award winning in his day & like one of the best debaters that there is for among politicians today.

Murphy should absolutely be higher than Warren or Harris. Booker should be way higher. Brown shouldn't even be on the list. Klobuchar should be on the list.

Al Franken's said repeatedly he's not running, and I'm inclined to believe him. He's not making trips to Iowa or New Hampshire,he's not really doing anything except marketing his book...which isn't exactly a pre-presidential-run book.
