In other words: Keep anyone but radical conservatives off the commission so we can slap together a biased and misleading report that uses weak or nonsensical "evidence" to support more restrictions on voting that just conveniently happen to make it harder for legitimate, Democratic-leaning voters to vote.

Yes, and he's not exactly an asset to the party in this regard either. He's resisted widespread calls to resign, made some questionable statements and basically just serves to give this sham commission some bipartisan credibility.

I'm curious about the NH SoS, too.  All I know about him is that he's a Democrat who's held the office since 1976.
