The 1st Amendment needs to be expanded to prohibit any private employer, internet forum, or social media website from ever infringing on free speech
nope, individuals and organizations should be able to restrict was is said from their property.  No one is stopping you from saying stupid sh**t, they are just stopping you from saying stupid sh**t that might embarrass, cost them money, cost them other employees, open them to lawsuits, etc.

The 1st Amendment needs to be expanded to prohibit any private employer, internet forum, or social media website from ever infringing on free speech- with the one exception being that officially partisan (and 501c3s should be allowed to be officially partisan, so that's a non-issue) groups can obviously require employees to be like-minded.
Aren't you one of those people who believe businesses should be allowed to discriminate against anyone for any reason?

K, never want you praising "Free speech rallies" or criticizing colleges who don't let racists on campus again.

Maybe Trump should invite Hill to his DACA legalization bill signing ceremony next spring.

Yes it is, Trump needs to learn that free speech is more important than his feelings.

She can still be fired for her statements, y'know. There's nothing in the First Amendment that prohibits an employer from firing you for statements you make.

True, but it would be pathetic if they did.

I think news and sports anchors should be able to speak their mind as long as it's outside the program. Curt Schilling should still be with ESPN and so should she.

It was on her private Twitter feed, and Trump has little defense to the accusation. Suck it up and move on

According to Trumpers sports people are only paid to do sports and shouldn't speak out about anything and just do their job. Ignores the fact that they're not paid to speak about politics but do it too....

not a lie. You may disagree but at worst, it's an opinion you disagree with but it most certainly is NOT a lie, anymore than you saying that Abortion is murder would be a lie. It would be an opinion.

"Political analysts" who give their opinions on politics are bad enough; people in other industries who think we care what they think are just super annoying and unprofessional.  That's not to say it's not their right, but damn.
