African-American writer and intellectual Ta-Nehisi Coates wins the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination in a bitter battle with Sens. Cory Booker and Bernie Sanders over race and class. Coates beats Sanders and Booker for the Democratic nomination. He goes on to face off against President Donald Trump. Who wins?

Coates selects Booker as his running mate to help unify the party.

Blacks across America are galvanized by the Coates/Booker ticket and turn out in Obama levels. White voters, meanwhile, are not convinced by the somewhat politically unknown Coates, and stick with Trump. As a result, the South is more competitive, while areas with low black populations shift towards Trump. Due to Coates being a political unknown, Trump narrowly wins re-election.

Trump wins 375 EVs against an SJW. I'm not an expert on Ta-Nehisi Coates but even this result might be optimistic for the Dems.
