I am proud to sponsor this bill to make it easier for our people to receive more affordable prescription drugs that will help them live healthier for a more reasonable cost since this bill will boost competition which will lower the currently ridiculously high medicine prices that people needlessly pay. This is a long overdue reform which is completely reasonable and necessary as Canada is known to produce high quality affordable prescription drugs with high standards in their safety procedures and labor practices in manufacturing these drugs, so I see no reason to continue to restrict the trade of Canadian prescription drugs.

What we like to refer to has "healthcare" has been addressed. Now we must moved on to health industry, health delivery, heath infrastructure, etc etc. Reforming drugs laws is a critical part of that and is necessary to compliment the August law and help to facilitate in making that law successful. In order to do so we must build on the negotiating power within its provisions by enacting laws such as this and the one that YT and Wells worked on so as to bring the costs of drugs and under control.
