I disagree. Because we as a country really do need to be better than that. And because we don't want Trump to get off like OJ did. He needs to be tried and convicted cleanly. Once he's guilty (and we have to allow for the possibility that he really is too stupid to be guilty, although he should still be impeached in that care), the gloves can come off on punishment and he can be nailed to the wall.

Most of the information the media has gotten about the investigation have come about some time after the fact (often times months) and from the folks that have come in contact with the investigation, not the investigators themselves.

Prosecution can leak whatever is appropriate to induce a potential defendant to do something incriminating -- like attempted flight.

Don't be surprised if Paul Man-o'-fraud  has gone on a "do not fly" list for places near the Canadian or Mexican borders.
