So, would the resignation in Riyadh of the Saudi-born, Saudi-citizen Lebanese PM on Saudi TV have something to do with the current events in Saudi Arabia?

Saudi Arabia is now directly or indirectly involved in three wars - the Syrian Civil War, the Yemen Civil War, and a war against Lebanon. Our allies in the Middle East are not beacons of peace.

It now appears Hariri's freedom of movement has been restricted, aside from a chaperoned trip to the UAE. As such the Lebanese cabinet has refused to acknowledge his resignation.
