Honestly, you could tell a four month old anything you want and I wouldn’t care.

Pretty sure was a joke sheesh dude. Anyways, in the highly unlikely chance that this is for reals, no.

Yea and once he/she grows up he/she could very easily access the internet/public information to realize that Hillary Clinton was never president.

Yeah, if this were real then it would be extremely pointless. The kid would learn fairly early on that his parents lied to him about an easily verifiable fact and come to distrust them.

Probably a good rule to live by is to try and lie as little as possible.

The only time you lie to a child is when you assure them that Santa Clause and the tooth fairy are real.

Other than that, just tell them the truth (gently).  They will find out eventually, anyway.

After reading this thread, I've decided to check the wiki and I've learned General Jaruzelski is not only dead, but he also left the office in 1990...

My entire life has been a lie.

The only president a 4 month old cares about is mommy and daddy.

By the time this kid grows up, he can learn the truth of Jeb!'s ascendancy and great rule over the land of Jeb!merica.

Yeah - which is more likely: a magical, near-immortal, kind old man, or a worldwide evil conspiracy by parents so that they have to spend money?

I can't see the image, but the answer is no, aside from stuff like Santa Claus (which barely counts as lying) lying to your children is a bad idea.

No, because if you lie to your kid, they will eventually become liars as well.  The "sins of the father" are, unfortunately, often visited on the child.  Sad
