In times like these I like to recite some of my favorite Secular Inoffensive Winter Holiday poems:

    not a creature was joyous, not woman, not man;
    the stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
    but never to put things in, only to air;
    the children were nestled all snug in their gender-neutral racially-tolerant sleeping zones,
    while visions of kale danced in their brain-homes
