Which languages do you already speak? Which languages do you have some knowledge of, or have already studied? And which languages would you like to learn? Here's my list:

Languages I speak:

English: mother tongue

French: fluent (I'm bilingual in English and French) (I grew up in French speaking countries)

German: intermediate level (I studied German from the 7th to the 12th grades, I can get by speaking German (say at a conversational level) but I'm definitely better at writing/written comprehension than speaking/oral comprehension)

Languages I've studied:

Spanish: I studied Spanish in High School (Sophomore to Senior years), I can usually get by reading in Spanish but my expression (both written and oral) is not good.

Dutch: I took it in the 6th grade, I can usually get by reading it but I can only say a few phrases in it.

Greek: I took Ancient Greek in Middle School (8th and 9th grades) but we studied grammar more than anything, basically I know the Ancient and Modern Greek alphabets but that's about it

Languages I'd like to learn:

Russian: this is definitely the language I want to learn next for various reasons (I'd like to make it my fourth language in terms of ability in it)

Italian: it's a pretty language, spoken in a nice country with lots to see and do

Languages I speak:

Hebrew- I live in Israel
English- speaking good English is always helpful, and I believe I do.
Russian- I can speak alright, barely read and cannot write. My family came from Russia so I had to know it to interact with my grandparents, but unfortunately never really studied it.

Languages I've studied:
Arabic- for one year in school. Didn't really work.

Languages I want to learn:
Chinese- it seems like it'll be very helpful.

English - native language

French - pretty proficient - can read, write, watch tv shows, understand music. Sometimes I stumble over my words when speaking, make grammatical errors when talking on the fly, and I have trouble with accents and colloquialisms.

Russian - Less proficient than French, but still reasonably strong. My vocabulary is smaller and I make significantly more grammatical errors when speaking.

Spanish - Probably about as strong as my Russian. My vocabulary is very strong, but I have a much worse ear for it than my other languages, and have a horrible accent. I think this is because the Spanish speakers I usually meet are from Latin America, while all of my Spanish teachers were from Spain.

Romanian - Hard to tell how well I'm doing, but I've been teaching myself for about a year with a native Romanian-speaking friend of mine helping out. The vocabulary is very easy, so I can usually understand most of what's being said, but the grammar is very difficult for me, and I make lots of mistakes, even in writing.

Arabic
for one year in school. Didn't really work.
This. Can basically read with the help of a dictionary. Not much else.

Languages I want to learn:
Farsi, Basque, Hindi, Kalasha, Lushootseed, Chinuk Wawa

4 years of German in high school and I can kind of get by. 1 year of Italian in college and I basically learned nothing. If I can get fluent in either/both that would be phenomenal.

Do you try to learn the language of every country you visit or is there something special about Iceland?

But Iceland is on my bucket list.

Third semester Russian student. Did 2.5 years of Spanish in high school.

I'd like to learn German, Greek, Latin, Hebrew, and all manner of languages that might prove useful in the studying of former Eastern Bloc countries.

A number of folks I know have gone to Iceland (it's hip to do so), and don't seem to have had any trouble with language. I guess English is pretty common there.

It's the principle of it all that counts.

English is the only one with a degree of confidence.  My French was once upon a time... alright - enough to have a  basic conversation if nothing else; but not using it killed it but I'm trying to get it better.  Much better at reading and to a much lesser extent listening than speaking.  Also know a small bit of basic Lithuanian as well; that might be fun to try and expand on!

I'd always try and learn the language of any country that I live in; although from personal iinterest I'd like to learn Japanese although that's very hard.  Part of it is for a very needy reason - I watch a lot of Japanese wrestling and I'd like to understand the commentary on shows without English announcing - but also it's a place that I'd like to learn more about really.

I speak Pinzgauerisch (the local dialect that Northern Germans don't understand) as native language.

I'm fluent in High-German and English and I also speak Italian and some Spanish.

English native tongue obviously.

Spanish I am essentially fluent in a written and spoken version. Due to speech impediment have great difficulties in speaking it and sometimes understanding it.

Learned some German as a child growing up as my family often spoke German at home but my vocabulary and understanding is more passive than active.
