I must admit I have a Scottish accent but I tend to simply speak English with a few Scots words dropped in, for instance when saying 'I went to' I always say 'Ah went to.' Working class Glaswegians however have a far more colourful use of words which while I don't tend to speak, I can understand what they are saying.
Here is the whole passge above in 'Glaswegian' dropping some words when needed
'Ah must admitah huv a Scottish accent buh ah tentae speak English wi a few Scots wirds drapped in, fur instance when ah say 'Ah went tae' I always say 'Ah went to.' Workin claus Glaswegians he'er, huffah fer mare colourful u'sa wurds though whaela daen't tentae speak liyk them, Ah can unnerstaun whit thir onnaboot.'
