I'm going to get a list of every YaBB God, and seed them into one-on-one matches to be determined by the flip of a 20c Australian coin (although 50c if requested). Non YaBB gods may apply for entrance in this thread; the first head-to-heads (or should that be heads-to-tails?) will begin in about 8 hours, but some spots will be left unoccupied for a day or so.

This is pure chance. The placements are determined by chance; the top in each placement shall be heads, the lower name tails-this is unchangeable.

Note-if, somehow, the coin lands on its side, the two in that contest will automatically eliminate all others and progress to the final. If the final results in a second side-landing, a draw will be declared.

That's all the posters between 551-6500 who have been active in the last 3 months. The remainder will have a seperate draw, in which they will be given a second chance if they are fdefeted-this is because they're the people most likely to follow this, and I want interest to remain high, so there is a bit of a bias. It will only be in this round, though.

You'll have to get 128 participants if you want to have everyone play the same amount of rounds.  That's the route I'd think is easiest to go.

I request a 50c Australian coin, Hugh. Am I special? Can you send it to me?

depends on how many participants there are. It's also possible to have pools pof six, to be determined by dice rolls, or you can have a three-way playoff with a coin (A vs. B, B vs. C, A vs. C, whoever has the most progresses, if it's 1-1-1, go again).

They don't need to be 1-on-1 each round, but that is how I want to start off. It culls a lot, but not TOO many.

Casey-yes, but you have to pay me $6.00 US postage and handling, as well as US $18.00 for the coin. Wink

Heads is the Queen, surrounded by the words, "ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA 1977". For those playing at home, it's the young queen design with the tiara.

Tails

BRTD-indeed.

If he gets 6 heads (and there are no tails), then we can agree that it was statistically significant at the 95% confidence level.
