I would just like to make a response to Prime Minister's Sharon's accusations.  I am in no way in favor of risking Israel's security for a Palestinian state.  However, it is true that I do favor a separate Palestine that woudl include the West Bank and Gaza Strip.  This should be a long process, but Israel should start to pull out of both.  When it comes to the wall, I am still in favor of getting rid of it, but I have to come realize that this cannot get rid of it right now.  The ICJ declared the wall illegal, and though I do not believe Israel should get rid of the wall just because this ruling was made, the court does have a point.  Israel is restricting Palestinian travel.  When a Palestinian state becomes a reality, and peace is secured, I hope the wall can be torn down.

Ironically, I believe I would be the first Jewish Atlasian Secretary of State.

Just to let the GM know, the second report of the Reforming Social Security Act is due in like four or five days, I'm pretty sure.

Sharon would find that interesting, but I doubt that would change his opinion.  Israeli does not equal Jewish.

Oh, I know that.  I just find it interesting.

Because of timing problems, the report won't be out till Wednesday.

That's fine.  Just wanted to remind you.

Sam, if you want to write something about my Middle Eastern tour, you can find it in my State Department thread.  Also, how do you want me to handle press briefings and such since you are the GM (PM me with the answer).

Another question for when you return; how many Special Forces units do we have and how much does the pay and equipment for those units cost?  I'd also like to know how many non-special forces infantry units we have and how much they cost, too.  Thanks!

Hey Sam, I really need this info, ASAP.  Smiley

I really need this information.

Presently, we have, as far as I can estimate, about 50-55,000 Special Operations Forces in the branches of the military.  The cost to train each special forces member is about $350,000.

If I can get some more time to make it through the Defense Department's website, I can probably you answers to the rest of the questions.

Thanks alot!

Did you take into account my military enlargement bill from a while ago?

I just want to say, that in the whole Puerto Rican thing involving Dave 'Hawk', the only thing I was notified in advance about was the he was going to have an assassination attempt.  I was not notified about a warrant to search my house or a warrant for my arrest (and I actually considered pressing charges).  In light of recent problems and delays in reporting from the GM, I feel the time has come for a new GM.  I call on the President and Congress to consider replacing Sam.  He isn't keeping up with the work needed to be GM.

The ballot of what?

Btw, I should mention that you're going to be cleared of suspicion in the assassination attempt, I just haven't gotten around to writing the article yet.

Senate ballot.  It lists parties, not people, so I don't really get it.

As GM, I don't really have much to do with the Senate ballot creation and don't know much about it.

Maybe you should post this in the SoFA thread instead.

Oops, I didn't realize this wasn't the SoFA thread Tongue

Considering that you were in Puerto Rico, the government could pretty much do what it wanted to in obtaining a search warrant, especially since they had probable cause to search.  This whole situation will be dealt with in the next report anyways.

I am already going to leave this position in a few days, as I said I would in another thread, but I have some unfinished business to deal with, which includes Bono's stuff.

Thank you.

A few days. . .
