Here's the best...

In the event of a U.S. invasion, Chavez said the United States can "just forget" about receiving any more oil from his country.

I can just imagine him saying that like some whiny little girl to her boyfriend. "Oh you can just forget about that, Mister! No oil if we go to war tonight!"

Absent nuclear weapons, there is no gaurantee one will remain unmolested by the Empire, as Iraq proves.

Mr. Chavez should acquire nukes.

That's right, we only invade countries for having WMD if they don't really have WMD.

And I doubt they'd be happy with a socialist dictatorship controlling most of South America.

No, but if he succeeds with his plan in Columbia, he might be.

I agree with Mexican, Chavez's international imporatance is enormously overstated by both forum members and the US regime.

Naturally the Right is always looking for a communist menace, even in such a mild (and democratically elected) character as Chavez.  These 'threats' are always just fictional excuses for military budgets and foreign interventions.

for the record, it's i-deology stupid; honestly just because one college professor says it doesn't mean it's correct Tongue

Anyways, opebo does bring up a good point.  The United States will never invade a country that has nukes.  But we're more than happy to go to war if we don't like a country without nukes because it's a war that has an outcome that we won't get nuked.  Honestly, we're knee-deep in debt, and what has Chavez done that's so horrible to us?

A math proff at CU Boulder pronounced "eigen" (as in _value and _vector) as "eegen" (it's "eyegen", as anyone with a basic knowledge of German knows).  And I suppose that relativity guy's name is "Albert Eensteen".

Funny, the people of Colombia overwhelmingly back the government against the criminal drug and kidnapping gangs that pose as leftist revel groups...
