OK, this is just for fun, I tried to make a platform that would sort of be a generic Sweden platform, to see how we seem to be compared to the US...this is sort of my guesses on certain issues, especially those who aren't that big in Sweden. You might say that it has a leftist lean, since the left is in power and always has been always will be. Smiley

NOTE: This is not my personal stands, my PF candidate remains unchanged for now.

I think it would look something like this:

Abortion:     C

AA:              R

BB:              CR

BT:               CL

CFR:             R

Ecology:       CL

Education:    R

Free trade:   R

Gun Control: CL

SSM:              L

Immigration:  CL

MF:                 CL

MI:                  L

PT:                  L

PHC:               L

RE:                 CL

SocSec:          CR

Terrorism:       CL

I played as an independent, didn't move out of the state of  Kansas and switched every position I had the day of the election. Whilst these aren't the official result, here is the final score of that game:

Bush: 323
Finn: 215
Me: 0

he won California by 3% Sad

You won Florida by the same margin, and spent the last day in FL (he was in CA)

With Ca, you would have won 270-268 Smiley

So this is obviously my race. Thanks! But how did I win Indiana and lose Ohio? My VP was from Ohio.

As Fritz, with Terrorism as CL (fits the pattern Cheesy)

(without regionalism or dynamism)

Fritz: 287 (65,649,256 votes (52%))
Bush: 251 (59,337,708 votes (47%))

Close states (within 5%):

California-Fritz by 3.5%
Oklahoma-Fritz by 3.3%

Virginia-Bush by 0.7%
Florida-Bush by 1.7%
Mississippi-Bush by 1.9%
North Carolina-Bush by 4.5%
Tennessee-Bush by 4.9%
Arkansas-Bush by 4.9%

it was a good game Smiley

I didn't do quite as well as you:

Fritz: 276, 48% popular vote
Bush: 262, 51% popular vote

Historians rating of Fritz: Average

One difference in platform from what was posted earlier: my Fritz has Public Health Care as "Left" rather than "Center-Left".  Terrorism, which I forgot to post, I actually ran as Centrist, not Center-Left.

I ran Fritz with Leadership, Same-Sex Marriage, and Public Health Care in theme.  I ran ads on Leadership and Same-Sex Marriage (using insight gained through research).  Basically I wanted to see if a character running on a platform heavily emphasising same-sex marriage would beat Bush, and he did, electoral-vote-wise anyways.  Cheesy

Close states (within 5%):

Connecticut-Kerry by 4.5%
Iowa-Kerry by 3.3%
Florida-Kerry by 0.5%

New Mexico-Craddock by 1.9%
Texas-Craddock by 4.3%
