Please vote Aye or No on each of the following proposals.
1. On
amending
the Death Penalty Plank as follows:
The Independent Liberal Party condemns the practice of executing juvenile criminals as regressive.
We oppose the practice of the death penalty in the majority of cases and would only support in cases of terrorism, treason and serial murder. We call for reform of the system that will require stricter standards of evidence and more capacity for Appeals courts to conduct actual innocence review in addition to the procedural reviews.
We oppose the practice of the death penalty in all systems and support commuting Death Row inmates across Atlasia to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.
2. On
amending
the Gay Marriage Plank as follows:
The Independent Liberal Party is happy with the status quo of Atlasia that has granted to gay couples the joys and benefits
of marriage
available to straight couples
. We regard this as a great victory for equality in society and will oppose all attempts to damage the consensus that has been achieved on this issue.
3. On
amending
the Pledge of Allegiance Plank as follows:
The Independent Liberal Party feels that any citizen being required to invoke the existence of a God in order to pledge allegiance to the nation is a clear establishment of religion.
We support the removal of the words "under God" from the Pledge
.
We also feel that state-sponsored pledges of allegiance designed to promote patriotism do little to actually promote patriotism and should not be established by the government
.
4. On
repealing
the Pledge of Allegiance Plank:
The Independent Liberal Party feels that any citizen being required to invoke the existence of a God in order to pledge allegiance to the nation is a clear establishment of religion. We support the removal of the words "under God" from the Pledge.
5. On
repealing
the Other Micronations Plank:
Other Micronations: The Independent Liberal Party supports the opening of relations with other micronations. We believe that this will lead to an increase in citizens to Atlasia and a new and interesting aspect to the “game.”
6. On
adding
a Criminal Punishment Plank to the platform:
The Independent Liberal Party believes that prison sentences and other punishments should be primarily designed to ensure the protection of society, the deterrence of crime and the rehabilitation of the offender (if possible), and that retribution should be a secondary factor in determining such punishments.

Speak for yourself Jake. If the ILP want to come down Dixie and spend their money, that's mighty fine by me
