Buchanan was second to Bush in the Republican primary, and it's suprising how well Brown did facing Clinton in the Democrat primary. Assuming the running mates are random-joe members of their parties, how well does Perot fare against Pat 'Racist Biatch' Buchanan and Jerry 'Gov'nor Moonbeam' Brown?

I'd assume it goes to the house due to no electoral majority.  It would get interesting from that point on; there probably would need to be two rounds of voting.  My guess is, in the end, Buchanan wins in the house.

A write-in candidate might get a record percentage of the vote.

Uh...., no.   The Democrats controlled the House in 1992.

Seats are irrelevant. What matters is state delegations. In any event, the Dems would lose a lot of seats with Brown as their candidate.

Perot might be more serious in this race, not dropping in and out or acting completely loopy towards the end. Because of this, I anticipate a direct if narrow Perot win. (Remember, until quite late polls told us Ross Perot would be our next president). Brown is the main opposition; Buchanan carries few if any states as the majority of Republicans will vote Perot.

Two extreme canidates with Perot in the center. Losts of Republican and Democrat votes go to Perot.

Using the map from 1992.

Perot: 324
Brown: 116
Buchanan: 98
