Depends on what it is and on what the punishment for it is set to.

He asks "everything". I suppose that means "anything; ie is there anything you`re doing that you wouldn`t stop if it got banned". The punishment question is definitely valid, though.

Well, either way, the question depends on what the punishments are.  If it was something like death, then given that receiving this penalty would not change a thing, I would not opt to be a completely unnoticed martyr over giving up the action.

Let's say it would be something mild like a fine.
Or that it wa something that would not get noticed easily.
Or both.

And I meant something. :S

Generally yes, but there are things I have to do no matter what.

In that case, no, I probably wouldn't.

And yes, I know that your point is that something being illegal does not make it bad, and yes, I agree with that.

Probably not if it was something stupid like anti sodomy laws that should be private.

Depends on what it is that's being restricted - how important it is to me matters, as well as how much of an infringement of liberty on myself and others it is.

^^^^^^

Like most people, I do some low level illegal things, mainly speeding, and sometimes not wearing my seatbelt.  But beyond that, I don't much of a desire to do illegal things, and have no desire to do things that would hurt anybody.  That's why even if I saw wads of cash sitting in an unlocked car and nobody around, I wouldn't touch it.

But if the coercive politically correct set were to succeed in making something that I do, that is not wrong, illegal, I would probably continue to do it.

only if after making it illegal, I thought about it and it seemed like it would be harmful for others.

I'd probablly end up doing it more. If the law does not make sense it would only encourage me to take a firm stand against it, not by protesting, but by rebelling. Question authority. Just because it is illegal doesn't mean it is morally wrong. Likewise - just because it is legal doesn't mean it is morally right. I smoke pot - it harms no one. Throw on some classical music. Play a little chess, or some video games. Stare at the itunes visualizer and let your mind be free. There is nothign immoral about it; conversely it may actual be moral and a good thing for society.....world peace wouldn't be so difficult after all. On the other hand the government allows mothers to kill their unborn children and not only allows, but executes the murder of criminals. I find this immoral. Yet it is legal. People need to take a stand for what they believe in. Vote. Share your views. Let your voice be heard. Don't be a mindless zombie. It reminds me of nazi germany. A lot of those "nazis" didn't actually believe in what hitler was doing but were scared to stand up against him. If you lived in the 30s/40s would you be one of them?

Generally no.  I've learnt to ignore most of the laws that the government makes.
