Ideally, I hope Riley wins the primary, narrowly, but alienates himself from the GOP malcontents who'd rally behind Moore in the general thus letting the Democrat, Baxley or Siegelman, win the governorship

The question is should he lose the primary would Moore through his support behind Riley to prevent the Democratic candidate from winning the governorship? In other words, would Moore (ironically, like some on the Left) cut his nose off to spite his face?

Two Democrats, Lieutenant Governor Lucy Baxley and former Governor Don Siegelman, are already running.


Out of interest, how would Baxley and Siegelman be ideologically defined?
