So I see that the Htmldon layer of the GOP has finally been broken.  Next is the Walter Mitty layer.

I really wonder if he was saying that with a straight face.

Even among those who approve of the governor's performance - only 2 percent do so "strongly" - his supporters are less than enthusiastic.

Melinda Majers Lewis, 51, of Columbus, was philosophical about the governor's legal woes.

"Everybody makes mistakes and I don't think anybody ever really tells all the truth," she said. "At least he 'fessed up to it and owned up to it."

Because he is still our governor until January 2007.  I don't really care for any attempts to make his unpopularity rub off on to his potential GOP successors.  I would just like to see somebody run this state with some semblance of competence.  He should just do the honorable thing and resign, before he sets fire to Cleveland as some kind of urban clearance scheme, or hands over control of the Budget to a kindergartener.
