I have made it my personal mission to rid this country of the unconstitutional legislature that is the Patriot Act.  To do this I would like any supporters of the Patriot Act out there to explain to me how the crushing of the Bill of Rights is at all just.

The whole of the Patriot Act is not unconstitutional. Only a few parts of it are, as the courts have held, in their wisdom.

Enough of it is unconstitutional that it is vital that we either destroy it or completely rewrite it.

I hate The Patriot Act. Glad to see someone else is going to take action.

I've actually taken a compromise position. U.S. Citizens are protected by the Constitution from the PATRIOT Act, but non-U.S. Citizens are not.

The Bill of Rights makes no such distinction, though.

The above question is needed to rip your argument apart. Anyway, anyone supporting a full repeal of the PATRIOT Act needs to be ganged raped by a pack of wild, horny buffalo. That is an extreme position if there ever was one.

Because, obviously, America was in chaos before the "Patriot" Act was aproved.

IT can be qute inferred, since you obviously deem the "patriot" act to be indispensible.

The Patriot Act is unconstitutional in many ways.  To name a few of the worse ones, law enforcement agencies no longer need warrants to search, they dont even have to tell the person that they have been searched; "terrorists" that are captured can be held indefinitely with no trial and without obeying the Geneva conventions.  The United States has granted itself the power to commit assasination here or anywhere in the world.  Those are just a few of the many bull-sh**t freedom crushing powers granted by the Patriot Act

Why is this sort of thing all of a sudden unconstitutional when the same tactics have been being used for decades in dealing with drug dealers and organized crime members?

In theory it could probably be warped into something that damages the the Bill of Rights, but I don't think it's happening now. Not to the extent that it should be scrapped. I think it is and can be a very useful tool for fighting terrorism and breaking up cells.

The entire Patriot Act should be repealed, every single clause.

The entire thing should be repealed but it won't be.
