Is there any way of finding out what precinct I live in?  (I'm in Suffolk County, NY)

I renewed my membership yesterday, and the NY town data isn't posted, so I'm figuring my precinct would be the next best thing.

I think if you go to the board of elections website, you can download a map.  I know I saw one somewhere, I think it was that site.

Would you have any clue as to where I could find a detailed New Jersey map of precincts? I've seen a statewide one with the 2000 results but it has absolutely no detail.

I have never seen a state-wide precinct map for any state (although I've seen one for the District of Columbia).  I imagine it is not easy to find, especially detailed - there are a *lot* of precincts in New Jersey.

Most major counties have their own precinct maps.

For the most part, although some counties use look-ups instead.  Annoyingly, many of these do look-ups based only on registration (that is, if you want to find out what precinct an area is in, you have to know someone registered right there).  Some of them have address-based looks ups, and some states centralise their databases.

Thats it.  Just keep zooming in on your house, and eventually you'll see it.
