clauses 4-6 should be based on percentage of total price, oerhaps?

I think you'd have to have some set aount, say $1000, and then the rest floating according to the coast of the vehicle. Otherwise, companies might reduce their price, etc.

Ah, excellent, so I can pay to have a van imported from Australia.  Sounds practical for the average Atlasian worker.

I see no reason why they can't be built here. They are cheap, have a large load capacity, and reasonably fuel efficiency, especially when coverted to diesel or LPG.

I will use this opportunity to ask the Ford Motor Company to consider producing this model in Atlasia. The people of the Pacific would be honoured to host a plant producing this and other Ford vehicles.

it would not encourage change to more fuel efficient vehicles form the consumer's side.

if people want to buy a 'gas guzzler', fine; but we should bve doing what we can to make smaller cars more enticing. In almost all situations, a mid-sized sedan will suit every family; they don't need a suburban. They can buy it if they want, but there should be a price incentive to buy an alternative/disincentive to buy that car.
