How is a "forced miscarriage" different than an abortion?

I asked for context, not definition. What is the reason for forcing the miscarriage?

It's her body, but I'd imagine it'd be safer to get an abortion.

This is a really tough issue, but Im going to say yes on the grounds of Gabu's post:

Then no, as that's no different than an abortion and the law should treat it as such. If third trimester abortions are illegal, then a forced miscarriage in the third trimester is no different than an abortion in that trimester.

In that case, no.  While an abortion might be legal, forcing a miscarriage would be equal to murder.

To force a miscarriage, you can take drugs, alcohol in excess.  You can also take a baseball bat to your stomach or fall down stairs (common irrational measures).

Neither abortion nor forced miscarriages should be interfered with by the State.
