There was a Berkeley precinct with 94% Kerry and 2% Bush, but I'm not sure if it was even the best Kerry precinct in that county (Alameda county).

Berkeley,CA is 3rd among reasonably sized cities in % for Kerry after Gary, IN and Detriot, MI, so those would be places to look at. I think Washington, DC was 4th.

i remember hearing of a precinct(s) in cambridge mass where bush finished 3rd behind gore and nader in 2000.

can anyone confirm or deny this?

Bush actually finished third in 2000 in all of Cambridge!  He ran about a point below Nader.

See, the exercise you point out here is kind of pointless.  Because if we find a 96% black precinct in inner Harlem than went 99.37% for Kerry, is that really a liberal precinct?  No, of course not; a better term would be socialist, putting it mildly.

I've heard of several places where Nader beat Bush in 2000.

Any where Buchanan beat Gore?

I doubt anywhere of note. I'm sure he did in some precinct with 2 voters.
