I like that they want to grab your gun (if that's even the case), but I dislike them for getting married, reproducing, living in the suburbs, and voting Republican.  Disgusting people.

Please define exactly what a 'soccer mom' is.  I keep getting different answers whenever I ask this.

It's someone who will atutomaticlaly support any organization that has "children" in it's name. Tongue
Seriously, normally moms that live in the suburbs, take their kids to play soccer, go to PTA meetings and are very pro gun control and police abuse, "for the children"

I should have said extremely rough police tactics.

Unfavorable. They tend to be quite authoritarian, even those who are leftist.

Either way, they're disgusting jocks.  If I had any offspring I would spare them team sports.

Yes, women tend to be authoritarian, BRTD, but particularly those who have burst their seed-pod.

I played soccer for eleven years. I think we can all see that I am the exact opposite of a hippie, John.  Tongue

We were talking about soccer moms in Gov today. They usually annoy me so unfavorable.

That is true, in general.

I think the term "soccer mom" contains a negative connotation.  But the general impression is that they simply believe the whole world should be laid out for the benefit of their children, or what they perceive to be the benefit of their children.

And they do tend to be quite authoritarian, which is ironic since most of them were probably the bra-burning types in their younger days.

Wow I'm the first person to vote "very favorable", and I wasn't even thinking about guns.

The only problem I have is that there were suggestions that for the 2004 election, some of these soccer moms may have turned into "security moms" worried about terrorism and voted for Bush.

Soccer Moms is more of a demographic than weak-defined ones like "Nascar Dads" and "Office Park Dads". But thats just man-phobia from the women-loving general media.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Seriously, should I even have an opinion of them?  They don't vote consistently Republican.  In fact, they were a key constituency for Bill Clinton.

lol that must have surprised you!

I'm liberal but I'm also a guy. Newsweek, Time, NY Times, etc., always have articles on women, how they are progressing, all the challenges they still face. Yet they never have a SINGLE thing about what men face, how men are doing in today's society. They are reverse-sexist, if that makes sense.

Oh yeah, that makes perfect sense.  It's the same thing with colleges, elite private schools, and older organizations like country clubs.  Nobody cares if women's colleges like Mt. Holyoke and Smith aren't admitting men, but there was a HUGE fuss when Washington and Lee or Columbia was not admitting women.  Hell, we at Columbia had and still have Barnard College right across the street and the students there still continue to receive degrees from Columbia!  Makes you wonder if we really needed to go co-ed in the first place.  I'm not sexist, but I do think that feminists have gone to far in many areas.

It makes perfect sense.  But I wasn't sure what you meant when you said "soccer moms" were more of a demographic than NASCAR or Office Park dads.
