As I understand it, the time for redistricting is upon us.
Relavant reading:
Second Constitution on redistricting
F.L. 4-4: Miscellany Act, Section 1: The Census
Current and former districts
The SoFA carried out a census yesterday, which I am taking on faith as accurate. As far as I am aware no registration changes affecting the census have taken place since. This is the map the SoFA produced, and I thank him for his work:
I suggest that we take some time for suggestions, and begin the process of selection next week. This is only a tentative suggestion, feel free to comment/criticize/alter, etc.

Here is my own suggestion. Apologies if it's a little fuzzy.
Population Breakdown:
Red - 19
Yellow - 18
Blue - 19
Green - 19
Orange - 18

Good to see this being dealt with promptly. It's completely up to you guys, but would you be prepared to consider suggestion maps from the general populace? Last time, the five of us nominated all the maps that had been put forward that each of us approved of, and then voted on the shortlist preferentially.

I have no problem giving consideration to any suggestion, though obviously I can't speak for the other governors.
However a sensible time limit should probably be imposed on how long we can continue to gather such maps, I would tentatively suggest that we allow submissions until Monday, and then from Tuesday on begin the selection process.

I'd say Earl's plan is the best, it keeps all incumbents in a separate district so nothing is screwed up.

I agree, but if we do go to a four region plan, Jas' plan is good too.

Seeing as don has expressed a desire for different regions and districts, I'll hold off until I hear from other Southeasterners. I'm nopt going to base my decisions on either keeping or getting rid of a Senator, but the argument that maybe the districts should differ from the regions is one I'll
consider

I like the blue district in Jas's map; having the whole Ohio valley in one district makes a lot of sense IMO.

It would be "screwed up" to consider the incumbents when drawing the districts.
