Mr. Chairman, I would like to ask you the first questions. In your recent post and certain comments you have seemed less then enthusiastic about this job so please, as your opening remarks tell the citizens of District One why you you want to be their Senator?

I would like to pose a question to Andrew. Why do you oppose racial affirmative action?

I had stuck my hopes on Blerprez winning this seat.  Now that he has dropped out, I find myself with no choice but to run for this seat.  I do have convictions about being a senator, but I have decided to run to advance the Democratic cause.

I oppose racial Affirmative Action because I believe it is discriminating to those of all different colors. We must base equality around that person's economic standing as opposed to the color of their skin or their ancestry.

It is indeed a sad day when discrimination against those who have a stranglehold over wealth, education, and political power is pushed right up to the head of the line. I'll begin to consider this new idea of class-based affirmative action when I hear of someone being lynched for being poor.

Well, if migrendel can ask questions, so will I.

Boss Tweed, as a citizen of District One, why should I trust someone who has used underhanded, manipulative tactics and has often been seen as un-trustworthy to properly represent me in the Senate?

Are you running for this office, migrendel?  Last time I checked, this is a debate between the two candidates...

Why don't we keep this as a debate between the candidates and not other forum members?

Aren't you from another district? Smiley

I think it is fair enough that people of District 1 ask question.

Don't you mean disagree? I mean you just asked a "question" to Bos tweed which was really a statement.

How do you know he's not from another district.  There is no objective reality, so that's only your opinion.

Stop bringing stuff from outside of this board to this board.

I would bet that GWBfan opinion is that he is from another district and not district 1.

Your right that is. He never stated he was from District 1 by the way.

Atually, we do have to defend our position regardless of where we stated them...if you don't believe in objective reality you have to live with that regardless of where on the forum you are...

I think it's reasonable that a 'debate' should be between the two candidates and noone else. If questions are asked everyone could reasonable be allowed to. Partly since the senators actually affects all of us, not just their own region.

Notice how I just woke up and I am now just checking the fantasy boards. In the "real world" I support the Republican party, loosely. The Religous Right has gotten too much control over the party for me to handle. The Republican Party would be much better controled by the moderates(Such as myself).

Andrew was a moderate Republican for fantasy purposes. Now he's a member of the UAC. And I beliveve that he didn't answer any questions after his first post, so it's a little preposterous to claim he ducked a specific one... Wink
