Warner/Richardson close only because of Richardson's baggage. Without that a Warner/Richardson landslide.

Warner (or any Democrat) would be dumb to pick Richardson.  Attack the midwest like there's no tommorow.  Go with Feingold, Obama, or Bayh.

Just as Allen would be dumb to pick Romney.  You want to win Massachusetts?  Go reincarnate Henry Cabot Lodge.  Romney adds nothing to the ticket, except a few thousand votes in NH and reason for Mormon haters in the south to stay home.

I'm not so sure about Texas going Democratic in this scenario, and I doubt that Romney could swing both New Hampshire and Maine.  Possibly New Hampshire, but doubtfully Maine.
