Hmm, I'll refrain from speaking my mind on the latter, cause I'm no fan of inter-web flame wars.
But as for the great sense of humor, John Ford gets some great quips in every now and then, as does Andrew.

On the GOP side, for 2016, look out for Gov. Phill Kline (KS), Gov. Ralph Reed (GA), Gov. JD Hayworth (AZ), Sen. David Vitter (LA), among others.

Gabu is very funny. He has a dry, understated sense of humor.
Nation is also a very funny guy. StatesRights can also be a hilarious guy.
Joe Republic may be the funniest guy on here. He has a great sarcastic and pitiless sense of humor, and reminds me of a lot of my friends and a lot of the guys I work with, who will just mercilessly rag on you. It's hilarious.

Joe reminds me of a bit of my humor. For example, I can get some guys I eat lunch with to laugh pretty hard when I say horrible, despicable things, such as:
Friend: I don't feel good. I think I have a cold.
Me: Good. I hope you die.
Friend: I think I'm going to pass math.
Me: Now apply for a job at China Palace.
Friend: I love flaming* food.
Me: I guess you are what you eat, homo.
*Flaming as in buffalo style.

That's all very typical male humor. It never gets old, though it can be taken too far sometimes. Most of the guys I know are brutal pricks when it comes to humor, but they'd give you the shirt off their back if you really needed it. Generally speaking, with guys, the more they bust your balls, the more they like you. If another guy is polite to you, it means usually that he's not totally comfortable with you, or doesn't like you. It's counterintuitive.

Exactly, although it's fairly obvious if a guy's busting your balls that he likes you.

Yes. There are a few people here who don't really understand that, and act like little bitches and have the sense of humor of a wet mop.

I think that, with men, generally speaking, it's considered too "girly" to directly display the platonic affection that comes with friendship. Therefore, men had to develop some sort of "code" that can be translated into "I like you; you're a good guy", and given that the "male" thing to do is to attack other people in a competitive manner, there evolved the method of making fun of people in a tacit display of friendship. It sounds kind of weird and I doubt women could ever fully understand it (no offense, ladies), but hey, it works. I certainly know that I'm like that around guys who I'm close to.
I also find that I generally find incredibly random things to be hilarious. You can bet that the less sense that something makes, the more funny I'll find it, such as the thing in my signature (taken from
this Flash movie
- warning: turn your sound down). I've found that this side of my sense of humor is very hit-or-miss with people; people will either think I'm hilarious or that I'm a total idiot.

i'm reasonably funny irl, and I thought it translated across onto the forum, but my almost complete lack of nominations on the funniest post thread suggest otherwise. :p So, the answer to the second question is me. First question, either angus or Gabu.
