Fairfax has trended HARD to the Dems.  The next GOP victory in the county won't be for a long time barring a major shift

Kane County

Bush 55.0%
Kerry 44.1%

Slightly better than 2000. I don't know when/or even if Kane voted for a Democrat presidential candidate.

Teddy Roosevelt won it in 1912.  It has never done anything but gone Republican besides that, however (at least in the years for which a record is available for its voting patterns).
