In the last Australian election, all the state governments were held by the Labor party. The Labour governments of Qld, NSW and Victoria werre all having their own problems and popularity slumps.
This was cited by some commentators as why it was hard for Labor to pick up a swing in the election as some voters used the federal election to express their frustration with the State Labor governemnts.
Is this effect going to arise in Canada? Furthermore will it benefit the Liberals who only hold 3 provincal premierships ?
