I can't think of who voters would be more tired of at that point.

Bush in a landslide.

Clinton could never survive all the nasty stuff that would come out during his divorce.

And we all know Hillary would divorce him if he stole her 2008 thunder.

In 2008, Bill Clinton would not run with Al Gore and George W Bush would not run with Dick Cheney.

Anyway, Republican Senator John McCain of Arizona and Democrat Governor Brad Henry of Oklahoma mount an "Independent Unity Campaign."

The results are as follows

Senator John McCain (AZ)/Governor Brad Henry (OK)        275
President George W Bush (TX)/VP Dick Cheney (WY)         151
Former President Bill Clinton (AR)/Former VP Al Gore (TN)  112

After Rita and Katrina Louisiana will be a Democratic landslide.

After Rita and Katrina Louisiana will be a Democratic landslide.

While I don't think anybody would say Bush handled Katrina well, a lot of the blame (and rightly so IMO) by Louisians is being placed on Blanco (look at her approval ratings).  I think opebo's map is about right.

Clinton would win. He's a much better politician than Bush, plus his people skills are way better.

Bush: What? I own a timber company? *snickers* Would you like to buy some wood?
Audience: laughs politely
Clinton: No, it's okay. I've already got wood.
Audience: laughs and applauds. Clinton wins the election right there.
