Homosexual Couple Adoption Rights -support

Flat Tax, Consumption Tax, Earned Income Tax Credit -oppose, oppose, support

War:  ie. Liberal, Isolationist, Intervetionist -depends on the situation, it's not a good idea to label somebody on this issue

Free Trade - I suport fair trade, and we need to strengthen our current trade agreements

War on Drugs - waste of money, stop spending so much money putting drug offenders behind bars, police should focus on violent offenders

Patriot Act - support the revised SAFE Act

Health Savings Accounts - I support them and they already exist. But they only help those who are well off and completely healthy, certainly they are not any type of long-term solution. Single-payer health insurance is clearly the best solution to the national healthcare crisis

Homosexual Couple Adoption Rights -  I support gay adoption. gay parents dont always make gay kids, like striaght parents dont always make straight kids

Flat Tax, Consumption Tax, Earned Income Tax Credit - the flat tax is extremely important in a fair country, and the other two im not informed on enough to form opinions.

War:  ie. Liberal, Isolationist, Intervetionist -  I cant stand war, and love working with countries to keep war a thing of the past.

Free Trade -  free trade is a menace to American jobs and American economy

War on Drugs - the WOD is nothing but gov pork

Patriot Act -  like my good friend once said " President Attacking The Rights Of Those   Against Cruel Tyranny.  I forget what the I stands for Tongue Ill have to ask him tomorrow

Health Savings Accounts -  uuuhhhhh....i dont know.

Homosexual Couple Adoption Rights -
  • The first step toward heathenism.
Flat Tax, Consumption Tax, Earned Income Tax Credit -
  • Keep our current system of taxation.
War:  ie. Liberal, Isolationist, Intervetionist -
  • Act if it's in our interest to do so.
Free Trade -
  • Protection is necessary at times. I Oppose the WTO.
War on Drugs -
  • Time to spread it to Columbia.
Patriot Act -
  • Expand its powers by leaps and bounds.
Health Savings Accounts -
  • Pretty novel idea. I like the plan that Scoonie outlined a while back though,

Homosexual Couple Adoption Rights - Support.

Flat Tax, Consumption Tax, Earned Income Tax Credit - I oppose the EITC, but the others are fine. the form of taxation is not very important to me; more important is how low it is.

War:  ie. Liberal, Isolationist, Intervetionist - NOTA. When it comes to foreign policy, whatever action promotes the general national interest is preferable. In some cases this would be isolationism (e.g., there was no reason to enter WWI). In others, this would involve imperialism (e.g., the westward expansion and manifest destiny).

Free Trade - Very strongly support. All protective tariffs whatsoever should be abolished.

War on Drugs - Oppose. Drug laws should be repealed.

Patriot Act - Oppose.

Health Savings Accounts - Not good enough. The government should completely remove itself from healthcare.

Homosexual Couple Adoption Rights - Preferable to abortion, but generally do not favor it. To be fair I also would not generally favor single or dysfunctional parent adoption.

Flat Tax, Consumption Tax, Earned Income Tax Credit - flat tax all the way!

War:  ie. Liberal, Isolationist, Intervetionist - isolationist

Free Trade - support

War on Drugs - oppose

Patriot Act - oppose

Health Savings Accounts - support

It is nothing more than a scheme to redistribute money.

Homosexual Couple Adoption Rights -im uneasy with the idea.  i think a child needs a mother figure AND a father figure.

Flat Tax, Consumption Tax, Earned Income Tax Credit -oppose, strongly oppose, strongly support.

War:  ie. Liberal, Isolationist, Intervetionist -i lean towards the interventionist side

Free Trade -strongly support

War on Drugs -is a failure.  we need to somehow reduce the demand for illegal drugs.

Patriot Act -generally, reluctantly support.  i believe it isnt nearly as bad as some folks make it out to be.

Health Savings Accounts - novel idea.  i dont know much about the subject.  but obviously, health care, or the lack of affordable care, is a crisis.

It's a tax credit for people who work full-time, but get paid very low wages.

Homosexual Couple Adoption Rights - Cautiously support.  I believe a loving homsexual household is preferable to a run down orphanage or foster home.  Id hope that the parents do not push their beliefs on the child though.

Flat Tax, Consumption Tax, Earned Income Tax Credit -
Flat Tax:  Sen. Wydens “Simpler, Flatter, Fairer” Tax plan seems ok.
Consumption Tax:  No.
Earned Income Tax Credit:  Strongly Support.  Its an incentive for the poor to work.

War:  ie. Liberal, Isolationist, Intervetionist - I guess it depends on the situation, but for most part I guess Id label myself as a mild interventionist.

Free Trade - Support Fair Trade.  Some restrictions are needed though.

War on Drugs - Doesnt seem to be working.  Im beginning to think we should focus the money on rehabilitating drug addicts rather than throwing them in jail.

Patriot Act - Support.  Some of the 'sneak and peek' provisions should be revised, but for the most part it seems to be working.

Health Savings Accounts - Support, but not a solution to problem.

actually the eitc was created as a work incentive for would-be-welfare recipients.

it is a great program and should be expanded.

What's the point?

Its an incentive to 'make work pay' for those who earn very little.  Its also an incentive to help people get off welfare.
