Does anybody know if the GOP will be running a candidate for Senate in Rhode Island?

Interestingly, the RSCC has refused to endorse Steve Laffey even if he wins the primary tomorrow.

I know we will have lost the race and I can understand keeping money and man power away from the state but refusing to endorse the nominated candidate is sad. Are the party's lips that locked onto Chafee's rear that we now have to worry about him after he loses?

Here's an idea for you: Screw Chafee and run as an Independent, Mr. Laffey. Stick it to this party of our's; this party that now insists on being completely stubborn and arrogant. Then we wonder why the base is pissed off...

why do you hate chafee so much, phil?

Take a few guesses. Focus on his ideology and overall attitude.

I don't support Whitehouse nor do I really support Chafee. I just don't care about this race and I don't think it matters anyway since the Dems will get the seat regardless. If I was forced to choose between the two, I'd have to go with Chafee despite my strong dislike for the man.

He comes out and says he wasn't going to vote for Bush but he supports Rick Santorum? Yeah, I also heard Chafee say that Jim Bunning is his ideological twin in the Senate...

Wow, I am not sure if you are playing around or if you are really unsure. I'll just tell you anyway even if you are playing around. The results are stickied on the main Congressional page.
