Retro mock election
«
on:
December 08, 2005, 07:17:11 pm »
Would anyone else like to see a mock election (like
this
) for some past year?
If so, post here and say which election you'd like best, and if we get enough support, Dave might do it.

So long as it doesn't include any minor third parties, yes, I would.

I agree that minor third party candidates should be discluded. You forgot to vote, though.

I would just like to express my view that 1960 is a horrible idea. Everyone will just vote Kennedy, because of course now Nixon is known for Watergate, and Kennedy for his assassination. To the extent that this was not true, it would just be usual partisanship.
I'm fine with absolutely anything before 1960, though pre-1950s would be more interesting.
I vote for 1892 or 1896
