The most responsible course is clearly option 3.

I think that there are many who would think that the most responsible course is option 4. Wink

Given the antiwar wing's suffocating chokehold on the Democratic Party, I can see where they are coming from.  Tongue

Number One, though I would add that Saddam should be reinstated with apologies and reparations.

It's a pushpoll, due to the word 'arbitrary' in option 3.

I vote for option 3 anyway, but to make it a fair poll 'arbitrary' must be removed.

But Saddam is a religious.

Anyway, option 3

Option Murtha:  All troops redeployed to the periphery so that boarders are secure and strike forces can topple potential radical islamists who may come to power and allowing the majority of our troops to be brought home within 6 months.

I'd add that those who made the war happen on both sides of the isle should be sent to the hague to stand trial for conspiracy to wage aggressive warfare.

Sort of.  He wasn't a hardline Islamist by any means.  He deified himself more than anyone else, as evidenced by the number of likenesses of himself seen or which were previously seen in Iraq.  The Qu'ran forbids creating an image that depicts something found in reality; all of these paintings, statues, and whatnot went against this interdiction.

No he wasn't. CIA documents say that he was most likely a closet atheist.

Oh, and option 1. No Americans should die for that POS Iraqi government, those Shiite pieces of crap can go to hell.

If you are trying to prove your patriotism by showing off just how bigoted you are against Muslims, and demanding a holy war of sorts against an entire faith, it won't fly.  A bigot does not a patriot make.  Prove your patriotism some other way.

It's more about not propping up a government that supports Iran, an enemy of the United States.

I'm not a Democrat but I'd say the third one if I was.  The other options are stupid.

You would be surprised (or not, as the case may be) that a number of Democrats do actually support the first two options, even those who are considered members of the 'foreign policy establishment' -those Democrats who have served in previous administrations like Brezinzski and others.  Hence, my need to include them.

Welcome, BTW.  Smiley

But going beyond that, I'd choose option 3.
