I started out supporting the Liberals, but I haven't liked the things from Martin I've heard during the campaign. I briefly thought about the NDP, but obviously that would be quite strange. I'm supporting the Conservatives, and I'm hoping they get a majority.

NDP; I would also like to see the Bloc do badly though.

Agreed.  If I lived in Quebec, my first concern would be to vote tactically against the Bloc.

Initally supported the Liberals, now supporting the conservatives, but I agree with Ernest and Al, I'd vote tactically against the bloc in Quebec

Being in the Greenest riding in Canada, I've decided to vote Green as a protest vote (and because I think it'd be kind of cool were Andrew Lewis to actually win, not that he will).

Liberals

Steven Harper is a social conservative, I'd support anyone who could keep him out of office. I agree with the NDP on the issues, but they can't win. Just because there's a corruption scandal doesn't mean they should throw out the Liberals. That maxim doesn't apply south of the border, if you know what I mean Wink

Question: If the NDP had a noticable increase in seats, and the Liberals did better than expected, could they form a Coalition Gov't even if the Conservative Party had the most seats? (I'm unfamiliar with this parliamentary coalition stuff)

And we all know why I'm supporting the Liberals don't we, or do I have to spell it out? (Hint- It involves the Notwithstanding Clause)

If the number of NDP seats plus the number of Liberal seats was 155 or greater, then they could.  If not, they would have to get the Bloc in on it as well.

If the Conservatives get a minority, I really don't see how it could last for any long period of time at all.  The Conservatives really have no natural allies in Parliament at all.  Layton's statement that he would work together with Harper would fall apart faster than you can say "porn star mustache".  They see eye to eye on, like, no issue whatsoever.

It would be impossible, as the Bloc would always have more seats than NDP

NDP + Liberal could never be more than Cons + BQ when Cons is greater than Liberal because the BQ would be greater than NDP
