They've done some good work, but also some bad work.  They are certainly much better than most everyone on their hate groups list.

Neutral.  They bring some good things to light, but often let left-wing politics get in the way of a true human rights agenda.

...I'd just like to know.  Why not?  There may be something I haven't considered before.

What type of bad work? By bankrupting KKK activists?

Their fundraising tactics have been rather, well, unethical in the past.  Sometimes I think their politics bleed into their agenda too much.

They also condemn Libertarians and members of the Constitution party as "far right wingers with a dangerous agenda". Just for the record.

From what I know of them, Negative.  Too apt to stifle free speech, however detestable, and looking for discrimination under the doormat.

I looked it up.  They called the Constitution Party "far right," indeed, but they haven't mentioned the Libertarian Party more than once, and that was in an entirely neutral context.

As I said, they never have negatively mentioned the Libertarian Party.  The only result on their site for "Libertarian Party" is a passing, neutral reference to a Libertarian candidate.

Overall positive; they've done and do some good work. They do go too far at times and do sometimes let politics cloud their judgement. I have a better opinion of them than most legal groups; not that that's even *close* to being hard but...
Their hategroups map is pretty cool anyway.

Well, I don't necessarily agree with those groups as I don't believe in modern seperation from the government. But I hardly believe it's fair to label them as "hate groups" just because the SPLC disagrees with their point of view. They also have a bad tendency of attacking/investigating right/conservative thinking people, esp. Pat Buchanan.
