Hawkeye will claim O'Reilly and Limbaugh to be the greatest thing since sliced bread.  Likewise for liberals and their shows and libertarians and their shows.  Why is it though?  I mean, there is a certain comfort level to watching the shows that support your veiw point, but is everyone closed to listening to hear the other side, just to hear what they have to say?  I'd also venture to say that it's probably better to listen to the counterpoint shows because it gives you something to base your arguments against.  Any thoughts on this?

Yes/No.

I rarely if ever listen to talk radio, and usually when I do it is policy-related and does not expressly agree with me.  That is, it's actually discussion, not just talk.

I entirely agree, though.  Who wants to hear something they already agree with?

yes/no, the latter because there is no such thing as a moderate left talkback host. 'The spoonman' is similarish to my views and I often listen to him, though, but not really a close fit Tongue

I'll say yes/yes.

I usually listen to at least an hour or two of Rush or Sean Hannity every day.  I don't agree with everything they say, but I second what Hugh said in that there aren't any center-right talk radio hosts so I'll settle for the right-wing ones.

My interest in politics began with listening to Rush so I will always remain loyal to him and his program.

There's really not that much out there. I listen to Al Franken's show on Air America sometimes, but not religously. I'd rather listen to music most of the time.

heh, the thing is, I doubt a real 'moderate' has a show.  I mean it's more or less to sway people to one side or another.
