This is an extremely difficult choice.  Noramally, I would just vote third party, but since that's not possible, I guess Mondale.  Since the election wasn't even close, I would do a protest vote and pick Mondale.  If it were close, I guess I would hold my nose and vote for Reagan.

Your parents must have had a lot of company down in Mississippi in 1984. Tongue

Reagan.  It's hard to me to vote for the other party, but Reagan did a tremendous job getting America rolling again and defeating the USSR.  I also can't imagine Mondale doing a better job.

Reagan's the reason we don't have double digit inflation today. Pressure was on him from all sides to intervene while Volcker was clamping down on the money supply growth, and Reagan refused.

Shouldn't ya'll constructionists be pissed about how he quadified the national debt?

What does being a 'constructionist' have to do with that?

It doubled in real terms, it did not quadruple. The massive deficits were the result of an unexpectedly sharp slowdown in inflation.

I meant to say libertarians.

I personally don't have a major problem with the deficit spending of the '80s, as it basically led to the demise of the USSR, but I figured the libertarians would.

Balderdash.  That is one of those oft repeated bits of propaganda that people have come to accept as true, with little evidence.

Mondale. I know Reagan would've won, so I vote for the man who was so soundly defeated.

Reagan.  Ferraro was such a god-awful person to have as No. 2 and next in line that I would have voted for the opposing party.  My parents did the same thing.

Reagan - easy.

Interest rates from 20% to 4%

Inflation from 17% to 2%

Unemployment from 10% to 5%

and...

Tax reform cutting marginal rates 25% across the board...

oh yes...

Defeated Communism, freed Europe, won the cold war....

Lets put this guy up on Mount Rushmore

Do you have any evidence otherwise?

Of course not.  It is the responsibility of the propagandists making the claim to make a case for it.  I'm not going to attempt to prove a negative.
