Dude, almost no one does nutmeg, specifically because it's painful. I have no problem with drug abusers, other than that I hope they die, but this is a bad choice.

Good Luck.  But I'm telling you it is a bad idea.  It reminds me of Jipson weed (I assume you know what I'm talking about being from the north east).  I'd call it more of a poison than a drug I'd take for fun.  I take it you're one of those people who "has to try everything once."  I wouldn't plan on doing it before having to do ANYTHING.  I'd say there is a 50% chance you'll be sick.

It only takes a couple spoonfulls (not teaspoons, like regular spoons as much as you can scoop). I tried it but probably in too low of an amount, so the effects were mild.

The main problem with nutmeg is that it is NASTY with a capital "N." Really grainy texture and bad taste. I had the brilliant idea of mixing it in peanut butter which, surprise, results in a sort of muddy sand that attacks your mouth like shards of glass (well that's what it feels like). Friends of mine just ate it straight or mixed it in a smoothie.

Maybe it depends on the nutmeg, I dunno. I used cheap dining hall crap (while in the dining hall). I even wrote a speech on the topic for public speaking class, which was well received by the way. I don't recall the science too well but it's not especially dangerous to consume in sufficient amounts (to get f'ed up)-- so long as you don't do it very often.

Perhaps it would be interesting in combination with other substances, I dunno. But I agree that just blazing over and over is preferable. Note that nutmeg is basically free, which really is the only thing that makes it worth considering at all.

A fat friend of mine once drank three pots of coffee into which he loaded huge amounts of nutmeg.  We had to take him to the hospital with a panic attack in the middle of the night!  Our three female roomates were petting him on the head and fawning over him, and his heartrate went down.. after a while they took a break and I went in and started making fun of him - and got to watch his heartrate go up on the moniter - now that was cool.

Yeah I agree. Don't do it. Visit the almighty resource on such matters: erowid.org. Then reconsider. I've never done it.....never will. It definately isn't a fun drug.
