Society B.  I'd really rather not have to deal with crime, beside, it never said everyone can't own a gun, just that they don't.

Just to show how silly the other poll was.

I have to ask if my poll was silly while the one about "sex crazed dictatorship" is not not.  Smiley
Actually though, I think both societies that you propose can be created by banning guns. In that case the criminals will have them and the law-abiding will not. But the two societies will co-exist, so the criminals with guns will still be free to prey upon their unarmed law-abiding victims. At least that's how it worked out in DC after they banned handguns.

hehehe . . . that's why I didn't participate in the sex crazed dictatorship poll.  And actually, any poll that gives you two exclusive extremes are rarely fair polls, and usually guide you to answering one specific choice.  The proper way to have phrased your orginal poll would to have offered 4 choices:

a) armed citizens in a criminal society
b) unarmed citizens in a criminal society
c) armed citizens in a law-abiding society
d) unarmed citizens in a law-abiding society

The objective was to see if people are more afraid of guns or criminals. Looks like criminals based on the results so far.
