I never said I would vote for him. He's too fiscally conservative for me.

Too conservative? His proposed spending increases would have put Arnie Carlson, a liberal Republican, too shame.

Ventura seemed like a good libertarian to me.  He'd probably make a better president than any Democrat or most Republicans.

Ventura was not a liberatarian, but rather a libertine who was somewhat fiscally liberal.

Minnesota was tired of his antics and has a results his polling numbers in 02 was below 40%. The main reason he did not run again for governor.
