I think this is a good amendment based on real-life experience.

It should not say "In case of a vote on an Amendment to the Constitution, legislation may only be introduced after the Senate has approved the Amendment" because that technically menas the Senate must either approve the Amendment or never vote on anything ever again.

This is true but I may not support this, I always PM the Governor's anyway about it. Well I'll wait and see.

Here's the way I would amend the text in context of the rest of the Section to get rid of that problem (amendment in bold):

I'm sure Bono could go for that. Cheesy

Because the Governors don't usually look in here to see about amendments. And I PM them anyway so this really isn't important IMO. Smiley

Yeah, but I guess it will make sure that other people will do the same after you've left the Senate.  Anyway, this really shows people appreciate what you're doing for them Smiley

I guess I'll vote for this, unless someone sees a problem I missed.

Does any Senator wish to introduce this amendment?

I'm sorry, but can somebody please remove that apostrophe in the word "Governor's".  There's nothing I hate more than bad grammar in our legislation.

Another 24 hours with no debate so I hereby open this amendment up for a vote. (It changes Joe's original version) Please vote Aye, Nay or Abstain

5. If the Senate has formally approved an Amendment to the Constitution, legislation may only be introduced after the President Pro-Tempore has posted a thread notifying the Governor's of the Senate's approval of the Amendment in question.

Aye, under the assumption that the apostrophe in "Governor's" can be removed without requiring another amendment. Tongue
